Right, time for a spot of Christmas baking! Just finished a batch of baby (and boozy for the adults) mince pies Here's the baby recipe, I've tried to use ingredients you'll hopefully have to hand. Happy Christmas eve everyone!! Makes 10 mini pies

Ingredients
- Pastry:
- 100g plain flour
- 50g butter
- 4 tbsp mixed dried fruit
- 1 clementine
- half a carrot
- a pinch of mixed spice
Instructions
- Rub butter together with flour to form a breadcrumb resemblance.
- Add a splash of water and bring together into a ball.
- Cover with cling film and refrigerate.
- Soak 4 tbsp mixed dried fruit in boiling water with a bag of decaf tea, once fruit is plump pop into a pan (without the teabag)
- Boil with the zest of 1 clementine, half a finely grated carrot and a pinch of mixed spice until water has evaporated and the mixture is thickened.
- Roll out the pastry and cut into circles to fit your tin.
- Put mixture into pastry cases.
- Cook at 180oc
