Cheese and Apple Scone Loaf

Happy Fibre Friday folks!! (I made that one up) This was totally spontaneous and very wet weather day inspired. Served with stewed apple (jam) with cinnamon. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack.

Ingredients
- 110g plain flour
- 110g wholemeal flour
- 50g crumbled shredded wheat
- 50g grated cheese
- A few finely chopped sage leaves or a good pinch of dried sage
- 1 cored and chopped apple
- 3tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 150ml milk
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients, but reserve ⅓ of the cheese for the topping.
- Lightly flour a baking tray.
- Form mixture into a ball and place onto floured tray, flatten out until almost touching the two long sides.
- Score into 8 portions (don't slice all the way down)
- Scatter with remaining cheese
- Pop into the oven at 200 for 25 mins.
- Best served warm, on the same day or freeze on the same day.
