Happy V day everyone! Hope you are all having a great day. We are celebrating with a lamb roast and strawberry scones.. Yum!
Serves: 12
  • 500g self raising flour
  • 100g cubed cold butter
  • 300 ml milk
  • 4 chopped strawberries
  • ⅓ tsp cracked black pepper (yes seriously, this works, trust me!)
  1. Rub together the butter and flour to resemble breadcrumbs.
  2. Mix in the milk, pepper and strawberries until combined.
  3. Tip out onto a floured surface, knead lightly and form into a ball.
  4. Roll out to around 2 cm thick
  5. Put on a floured or lined tray, brush with milk and cook at 200°c for 12-15 mins.
  6. Serve with butter and baby jam.
